he was really brave at the hospital with the x-rays and everything, and he has actually kept the splint on. considering what could've happened, we had a pretty close call. phew!

accident
gavin's finger got smashed in the car door today. hayden accidentally closed it on his thumb, like it was all the way shut. i ran over there and opened the door and it was already turning blue. it was super scary. so even though he could move it, we went to the ER just in case. he got some x-rays and THANK GOODNESS nothing was broken. the doctor was actually surprised that his thumb was ok. so he has to wear a little splint for a few days because there is going to be some major brusing, and so he doesn't smash it any more.

Ow ow ow, the poor little guy! He's brave, I would have been screaming my head off for sure.
Glad nothing was broken, though.
when I read this it made me light headed. Ouch! He looks like a brave boy!
