goings on

here's a rundown of recent events:
g's birthday was great. he got "Mack" from Cars. that's all he wanted, and was(is) very happy he got it.
h had a nice small birthday. he got a few toys, and demolished a cake.gavin decided he wanted his hair cut. we were trying to grow it out, but he came to me the other day and said "mama i want my hair cut. snip snip with scissors." so i cut it. it's so short, and he looks like a little boy now. and of course he had to do his silly face for a picture.

it has turned cold here in the high-desert. (lizzie is in the low desert, about 50-100 feet above sea level, we are at 3500) i'm serious. like it's only 61 right now and cloudy. BRRRRR! it's strange here, one week it's hot (100's) then within 2 days the weather completely changes and it's cold (70's). so it's fall. but in a few weeks we always have one or two more weeks of hot.
and i got a job. i went in thinking "if i get it, great, if i don't, no big deal" but the chef really needed someone, and they just opened for season, so he hired me on the spot. it's kind of a shock. it's the best, most expensive, highest rated, nicest restaurant in the desert. it's called Wally's desert turtle. i know it's a silly name. but it's great because it's only open 3 days a week, and i'm there during service, so from 3 to maybe about 11. so aaron can be home with the kids, and i can go and get some AWESOME experience. i hope to learn alot. check it out here.

aaron is still #4 in the country, for the 3rd month in a row. just 3 more months staying there and we get to go to costa rica next year. keep it up!!!
alot of you are asking how we are with staying here. basically we are happy. we love our house and friends and there is plenty of time to get out of here, if that's what we are supposed to do. another opportunity will come along that is better for our family. so we will just hang out until then.

wow rose! That's great! I checked out Wally's and it looks so expensive and ritzy. Will you only do desserts or learn their cuisine also? What a great opportunity! Good luck!

and the boys are adorable as always!

Congrats on the job! Shad is having a seminar there on Friday night. If you're there, poke your head out and say hi to him.
