white winter

last week we went up north to aarons' parents house. but i will have to post about that later, because we got a TON of snow, and that's just too exciting not to share right now.
we got a little bit of snow on monday, but on tuesday it all melted away. but yesterday..... WOW!
it was already totally white when we got up around 6:30, and it snowed non-stop, all day. so i am looking out the window at 1 FOOT OF SNOW!

it is so beautiful. the last time this area got this much snow was 1979, so it's been a while. we bundled up and braved the elements yesterday, and went out and played in it. today we will play some more because it is nice and sunny again.
it is fun to have this weather for right now but there is no way i would want to live in it. it's just tooooooo much of a hassle. but it sure is pretty!
finally a chance to use their winter coats!

hayden didn't get why he couldn't ride his bike.

showing the boys how to make a snow angel. they were cracking up!

our snowman. it's up to my waist.

once they found out that they could eat the snow, that's all they did.

the aftermath...

That is so crazy! I can't believe you got a foot of snow...but I guess you're higher up than we are here, right? DANG!

I'm with you, it's nice once every 30 years, but I'm done living in the snow...Rexburg was enough for me. The kids sure love it though!

Your snowman is awesome!!!

I think it's beautiful! I made my flight on monday - we went the long way around JT. It took 2 1/2 hours, but at least I made it! Enjoy the snow and the muddy mess it is going to be when it all melts!

Who'd have though you'd get snow when we got it! It's wild! But so fun. Cade loved it and thanks to dad and grandpa, and me too, he got to enjoy it! I too love it once in a while but never want to live permanently in it. brrrr!!!! MISS YOU!!!
