cookies

brynne asked me a few weeks ago what baking i do for the holidays. i said i really don't do any, unless someone asks me to. but then i thought about it, and realized i usually make peanut brittle and sugar cookies. so i made brittle last week (which didn't last long), and made sugar cookies yesterday. i haven't made this type in a while, but they turned out pretty good. and of course they taste great.

gavin and i will make chocolate chip cookies for santa tonight. he is SO into santa this year. it makes christmas really magical. he is starting to understand the real meaning of Christmas this year too. i keep telling him that Christmas is Jesus' birthday. at church he colored a paper star ornament with a picture of Jesus in a manger on it. when i asked him who it was, he said "baby Jesus." it was so cute. i can't wait until hayden gets all of this too.
