our turn

we went to the pumpkin patch on saturday. the past 2 years we have gone on a weekday, when it's alot quieter. this time, it was a zoo, but still fun and still worth it. they have games and slides and even a "hobo" band, which the boys couldn't take their eyes off of. they were also making fresh kettle corn. oh man, i could've eaten 100 bags of it. then we walked out to the patch, and went down a row, stopped the wagon, and gavin wanted the first pumpkin he saw. it was kind of anti-climactic. then we got some other fancy ones (i love the white ones) that were already picked. i also got a bunch of indian corn and fancy gourds that i put on our mantle, which i can use year after year. so we will carve on monday. and then i guess i have to start getting ready for christmas, right?!?

if you click on the mantle, you can kinda see some of the gourds.
