MAN, IT'S HOT!!!

i hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th! g and i went and saw the fireworks, aaron and h were out asleep already. plus it was SO HOT today. it cooled off to 95 degrees at 9:15 PM for the firework show. so what's the best thing to do inside when it's a million degrees outside? BAKE! for some reason i have really been baking alot lately.

i made challah the other day. it's my favorite dough to work with, and my favorite bread to eat. for those of you that don't know what it is, it's braided jewish bread. SO GOOD. and it's fun because i do the 6 braid instead of the 3. we learned how to do 3, 4, 5 and 6 braids at school, but 6 is the coolest. then i put black and white sesame seeds and poppy seeds on top. the recipe made 2 loaves about 16" each. i had to keep aaron out of the kitchen so he wouldn't eat all of it.
then today i made mallowmars. i haven't made them in a long time and they are fun to make and one of aaron's very favorites. it's the cookie with a graham cracker type cookie on the bottom, then a squished marshmallow then you cover the whole thing in chocolate ganache type of glaze. i can only eat 1. it's too much for me, and i'm not really a fan of marshmallows. but everyone else sure loves to eat them!

OH and i almost forgot, on friday i made a cheesecake for a friend. i did have a slice of that, and boy was it good!
